unlike previous iterations of mobile apps the local transit service has offered before making the switch to Transit as its de facto app, Transit seems to assume everyone wants fewer transfers and does not allow searches to minimize walking to/from the stops from one's starting point or to one's destinations. as a result, it requires either searching for partial routes, cobbling those together from destinations & keeping track of each segments' arrival times to get anywhere close to achieving that desired effect, or supplementing/supplanting the results from the Transit app w/ searches from Goo
