One note to start - as an MR1 vet, getting back into the game at the start can be a bit of a mental slog. It feels a bit overwhelming at first. At least on Steam on a full screen. It’s hard to decide what to do next or to put it down. Like things on screen are happening fast but it still feels slow, if that makes sense. It feels anxious. I moved my Steam demo save to my phone on release day and by the time I retired and was into my second run, it all started to feel more familiar. That is by no means a reason to take a star off, because the game that opens up once you find your feet is amazing

So that’s 2 stars I guess? I keep coming back to it in case the beginning is just slow. But no. Every time something new unlocks it’s just more excruciatingly slow linear progress. The worst part about the game is how bad the prestige system feels. In most games, you prestige and then you catch up quickly and then progress. In this game, your prestige multiplier is capped by your current base power… so every time you reset you don’t get boosted back, you go through the same slog until you are forced to prestige. It just feels really bad. It also feels like a total ripoff of exponential idle
