The app is the hatch restore’s downfall. In a nutshell, please allow people (especially subscribers) to use the hatch app without needing to connect to the device! I love my clock but despite advertising a “phone free” experience, I have spent way too much time wrestling with this app. First off, college students beware because there is no shot at connecting your hatch on campus/apartment wifi. There is a work around where you can set your routines using your phone’s hotspot but certain sounds only play if the hatch is actively connected which is not reliable.
