The homepage “improved” UI is a huge step backwards. The old round colored icons ware way less invasive and clean compared with a whole blown filled tile button that screams at me with multi-colored contradicting texts on it. The good programming saying “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” definitely wasn’t applied for the new UI, at least for homepage and top-right buttons. The child image is now smaller, a consequence of adding the buttons to the bottom. The fading of the photo is uglier too. The rest looks the same.
