It took 3 or 4 tries before the app correctly identified my plant. It kept trying to identify it as something it clearly wasn’t. When it finally did get it right, it wouldn’t even give me the correct variety. So I had to go to google to research which variety it was. Once I found the correct variety, I started researching care needs and what might be causing the brown spots on the leaves. The advice I found was the complete opposite of what the app said. I don’t think the care tips were specific to that plant. They looked like they were very general tips that could be applied to a lot of plant
