This was driving me crazy but just figured out how to get it working again. I ran into this years ago but forgot. If the app can’t find the receiver and you get that error after about a minute, unplug the AVR for at least 3 minutes, quit the app. Hi mug back in and launch the app. It then found it again. I wish they would update this app because I’m sure some iOS will kill the app for good and at that point I’ll have to replace the receiver since we use it for multi zone and without a remote we’ll have to go across the house to where the AVR is located to turn it on, turn in zone 2, adjust

First, this is a free app and I’m fine providing an email to create an account. Those who complain about that are silly. I’m sure you all have a junk account to use if you don’t want to support Cornell provide this free app. Now I use this to ID birds I’m photographing. I’m not using the iPhone to take photos. Maybe you can get close enough for a decent picture but I’m using DSLR and then later I use the photo ID function to find the bird and here in NJ and NY it’s almost always finding a bird like 95+ of the time. If you’re using that feature it’s important to zoom/crop in the app so it
