I’ll bet if you made a version that continued to work on < os 18 that required a subscription you could get more people subscribing. This would be a win win. This suite of games now requires os 18 or grater. If developers choose they can compile this game for older os. It is just a combination of laziness on the developers part and Apple making it slightly harder to compile for this. There is nothing in the NY times apps that explicitly requires os 18 functions. My iPad Pro can handle it if they would let me. My other choice is spending $1000 for a new I-Pad Pro. Not happening.
