The state of this app is just… sad…
I have been a happy Plex user with a lifetime PlexPass subscription for what feels like 10 years now. I am not sure of the exact length of time. This new iOS app update for iPhone and iPad has got to be the absolute worst update in the history of app updates — running neck-and-neck with the updates that relegated the previously indispensable Evernote to the giant trash bin in the sky. I have a deep respect for developers because they bring magic into our lives and make the seemingly impossible possible. GREAT weather app with one important caveat…
Carrot has everything you would possibly need to accurately plan for a day outdoors — especially important when one lives in a fickle, constantly changing weather area like SW Florida where the weather is constantly trying to kill you. From rainy season floods to dry season fires, and all the hurricanes, tornados, lightning and heat alerts in between (no I don’t know why I continue to live in this hellscape), Carrot delivers all the data accurately, and customizable for your anxious perusal. Something went horribly wrong
The radar is now completely useless— lightning strikes no longer appear, with timing and CTC/CTG data on touch. Neither do tropical storms tracks, or any storm tracks. Clime used to be my number one go-to weather app. In Southwest Florida, we need to know where the lightning strikes are, where storm cells are headed, etc. and this app used to be stellar — a security blanket of sorts for dealing with the often severe weather events here.
