I’ve been using the Trane Home app for almost 2 years. It’s very handy for changing the set temp without touching the thermostat. I haven’t experienced the connectivity problems noted by others. My complaints are the Events log is missing 5-6 hour blocks of on/off cooling data every day and usually during the heat of the day. Their support staff directed me to sign in on the website where I could see the complete data, but I have to reselect the thermostat every time. They said the missing app data “just happens”.
