I used this app to do the Norte and found it to be extremely helpful. Download the offline maps so you can navigate with your data off. It was mostly accurate and got us out of some jams. The alternate routes on the coast are often great and worth it if you have time. The elevation profile was also helpful. There are reviews of alburgues as well and you can book some places through booking.com through the app. I just thought that sometimes the main route was actually marked red instead of blue which got confusing (that’s the main reason for taking a star off).
