I really don’t get it. Yes it is nice I guess for casual hikers and short walks that the watch application can sort of be independent of the phone. Sort of as you have to have a route on the phone and have the phone to transfer that route. Not great even for this case. For serious backpackers the watch app used to be a great tool before the company sold out and the new application was written. I assure you the watch battery is only going to last at most a couple hours running this application. But the phone it will last hours and hours and can be plugged into a battery while still recordi
