I have a programmable scanner in my shop that’s on 24/7. The fire frequencies I monitor are broadcast using various repeater tones so radio traffic can be scratchy and hard to understand at times. I find that using this app in those situations, the radio traffic is clear and easy to understand. Additionally, I use Watch Duty for notifications so I have a scanner at my fingertips all the time. I was bummed to see that monitoring FDNY is no longer available. I used to listen to them from time to time because they were always busy and have a unique way of taking care of business.
