Not sure when, as I do not often transfer mp4 files. But when I first got this app the transfer and playback were fine. More recently however I have found that video files transferred to the iPad are damaged in some way. It’s as if only a fraction of frames per second are playing, resulting in sloppy playback that is painful to watch (and might induce seizures in some people). Since it didn’t used to behave like this I can only assume that the developers broke something and haven’t fixed it. Do not buy this app if you want to use it to transfer and play home videos. Apple needs to get out of the software business. Their incompetent developers can’t even write a file management app that just shows you all the files and folders on the device. If what you are looking for is not in one of their predefined folders that the developers want to show you then you won’t find your stuff. This is one of many reasons that the iPad Pro is NOT a replacement for a real PC. It’s gotten ridiculous how bad Apple products are and how user-unfriendly their software is. Here’s some advice to the Apple developers: NOBODY WANTS YOUR OPINION! Just show us ALL files and folders. A
