Been a long term user (6+ years) of TextMe, all the way back when they were called “Freetone” (look it up if you don’t believe me). In mid-2025–I noticed end of June but the change could have been made earlier—they changed their pricing structure to charge 5 credits per SMS message—for something that used to be free to lure in users. Calls, for reference, are 1 credit per minute to any number within the US, so each SMS you send costs you the same as 5 minutes of voice calls!
