In recent times the iVision feature stops working a lot more often. Sometimes for no good reason at all. From what I understand it might be hitting against a memory issue. It seems more buggy and slow the larger ones library is. Maybe a better idea is to scan into a temporary database and then merge it with main database each time a user switches back to the main application. A competing app seems to have reliable scanning, that even works better/faster in the trial period than poke genie does even when I paid to unlock unlimited scanning. The app assumes you want to order home delivery or similar. Even when you are standing in an ikea shop. This could be easily solved with a few guiding prompts. Locating an item, there are prompts for “similar” items. However no prompts for things that might complete the item (like legs/feet fir a cupboard, in case you don’t want to hang it from a wall). Trying to locate the ikea family barcode to scan at a checkout is non logical. The design language is both cluttered and flat. With few if any visual hints as to what icons do. Merging the separate AR app into the main app is great. However

This app requires a subscription to utilise, yet is clearly targeted at teens and young adults. It is deceptive and will be immediately deleted. Waste of my time.

The free version is very limited data wise. Otherwise this works extremely well.
