I am glad that NYT is run by a board and not an oligarch. I have the full subscription with the cooking as well. It’s pricey but I like supporting actual news. The cooking section is merely ok. I’m kinda tired of miso this and gojuchang that. The cooking app is not very good. It needs to be more exciting and sectioned up better on the main page. I love the reporting of NYT. My only complaints these days are: I’ve noticed a lot of grammatical errors; missing words in sentences, or a word that wasn’t edited out. I’m assuming this is due to AI taking over editing.
