So funny. Nice try. The Astrology Mode is complete garbage. As someone knowledgeable in it, their attempt is just out of this world. It shows you the same people it would have shown you anyway but throws a layer of very wrong fortune cookie sayings. “Is there anything more compatible than two signs right next to each other? No there isn’t”. Oh yes there is - literally any other combination 😄

Linkedin is the ultimate digital feudal lord and i mean it in the most pejorative term. It urges you to comment “at least once a week” on the platform to stay “relevant” while simultaneously indexing every like and comment just so it can cancel you unexpectedly.

There are unfortunately limited workouts to choose from and send to my Venu. They are never organized by activity on the Garmin Connect but one is supposed to guess where to find them on the watch (is it under Yoga, is it Pilates?) Most annoyingly, the watch constantly vibrating every 2 seconds when the exercise begins, when the segment begins, when the segment changes, when the segment ends, when the next one begins, etc. So distracting - is it supposed to keep me focused…?

In theory, you can connect it to Gamin’s Connect app. In practice, it’s a pain in the butt attempting it and it never succeeds.

Full of - in my perception - most of the bells and whistles as the desktop version. But achieving basic things is soul sucking, e.g., trying to select a particular sentence is so cumbersome and changing its font color is hidden in a myriad of sub-menus, defeating the entire purpose of having an app on the go.

Update 2: DNA results have arrived in the meantime and are very off compared to 23andme For a big company like them it’s impossible to get a customer service support email either on their website or the app. All they have are phone numbers in a handful of countries. I don’t want to pay extra per minute because i don’t live in those countries. The Help Center has limited categories of “troubleshooting” and their virtual assistant is even more handicapped. For a week now, the photo enhancement service is unavailable both on the website and the app. Will it ever come back? Who knows. Update 1 we

They don’t even offer the choice of paying for no ads. It’s a bloat app.

First time opening it, it asks me to download some data worth 185mb. However, 1% into it and gives me an error message that the network connection was lost. This is silly since i have a full signal

It gives you the option to select a range of prices but not to order listings by price. Whatever listings you get in the search is whatever agreements Airbnb has with the hosts.

I made a restaurant reservation via TripAdvisor, all I received in return was an sms with a webpage that directs me to download TheFork. I downloaded it. And ? What happens? Where do I see if the reservation was confirmed or not?

Unless you want to create a to do shopping list, this app is a disgrace. A real user excel user will hit their head against the wall. It lacks so many things ... no way to custom sort more than one column at a time or filter by color, no way to create a pivot chart etc. Better stick to google sheets online.

I signed up, I verified email address. I open the app, I choose log in, it appears to try connecting to server and then app crashes. I’m using HelloTalk on my iPad Pro on iOS 12.

You’d assume that after all these years of updates, Google would modernize their interfaces - both web and iOS - but nope. Still the same nerve racking look and feel.

Ever since I’ve bought the PDF Expert package, Documents keeps crashing: it freezes on the opened pdf, it fails to load Documents altogether and only a hard restart of iPad brings it back... until the next time it crashes
