Am I always happy with The NY Times news coverage, of course not. But day after day, the Times reportage is not only highly reliable, but it invests in important investigative pieces. In addition, it’s stable of opinion writers are thoughtful, intelligent, and, when appropriate, witty. Although I am the expected liberal Times subscriber, I do wish the Times was not scared off from presenting intelligent thought pieces a bit more to the right than those of Ross Douthat (although I am enjoying his “Interesting Times” interviews).
