Typically, I shun all social media 🙅🏻‍♀️, but finally caved in at my 53-year-old ->MOTHER’S<- encouragement to join TikTok at the beginning of the new year (2024). At first, I did not understand the hype & only logged in every other month or so. Then I went through hard times, couldn't afford therapy, used TikTok instead, & NEVER looked back. It's a bit scary how I feel like it has become an integral part of my life now. Anytime I feel low or depressed, I log on for some much needed grounding.
