Powerful
There is some initial learning curve, so the guidance built into the app is helpful and appreciated. My tasks are usually one-off in nature so there’s much remaining I have to explore, but this app has worked as intended, and did it well.
Smart phone and App Store sales are a mature market and thus app was a one-time purchase (which is not sustainable), so I’d encourage users to show the developer some support by leaving a tip (it’s in the app’s menu), as I just did. That being said, I would rather pay a subscription than to lose the app entirely.

Annual fixes or subscription
I believe I’ve used this app for nearly 15 years or more, ever since I moved from Blackberry to iPhone. GoodReader once set the standard for file management (far beyond what iOS Files offers, even today) and still better than the top selling app. I don’t have much skin in the game…I purchased the app once and bought an in-app for something. Reviews complaining of greed or having paid etc are misplaced…all the best apps today are subscription, and that makes them sustainable. That said, I would support this developer if he offered a subscription that provided more than 1x/year updates…bu

Voice reader excessive battery drain
One of my reasons for subscribing was the voice interface, however this feature must consume an excessive amount of cpu and causes the battery to drain quickly. It also cannot be sent to the background or will stop. In fact, the cpu is so severe that my Apple magnet charger with a 20 watt adapter cannot sustain a charge with this feature in use. The battery continues draining, albeit at a slower rate. The caveat here is that I was using the reader with a lengthy article that was estimated to take 100 mins to read, but isn’t this a perfect use of the voice reader? Idk if this can be rectif

Has Dev changed?
As I finance professional I understand the need for subscription-based pricing; without it, an app becomes unsustainable for the Dev long term. In its infancy the App Store only had free and one-time-purchase offerings, essentially creating the belief by some users they were entitled to a lifetime subscription, to include maintenance and upgrades, with no further cost. App development is an occupation, and compensation is the motivation that provides further development; without it, a developer’s interest may wane and cause the app to drown in the sea of abandonware we saw in early days. Meh
Between Newsify snd Reeder, Newsify is the clear winner. It’s stood the test of time and in years I’ve not been forced to upgrade or ensure failed syncs. Reeder, however syncs much more data, when it works, but that sync is slow. IDK what determines the number of articles that are fetched but iCloud sync is insufficient. I use TheOldReader and syncing online (although very slow) pulls about 150K articles. I have a lot of feeds so that’s about right for me, but I wish it was adjustable.
Today, TheOldReeder syncing stopped. It’s the same issue I had with Reeder 4 and why I upgraded

Stands the test of time
I’m updating my positive review to gripe about the app change that immediately launches to each store instead of simply opening the deal page and showing the T&C of cash back. Yes, they are displayed before hitting “OK” and continuing to the site, but sometimes I have a choice of merchants and want to see the best offer amongst them (without being taken to the site). Once I see the offers then I can launch the store’s app if I wish. This causes extra navigation and is aggravating.
I’ve been using Rakuten for a couple years, sometimes more than others. All offers have qualifying criteri

Crash crash crash
I’ve tried going from Zip file to WG as well as retrieving the file from WG and both instances crash the app. I did find that repeating the process continually will eventually load the entire import. Just keep importing the file until it returns a message that 0 of (total networks) were loaded.
The log has nothing usable.

Slow, missing loads of content
The app used to work well, but today it either times out entirely, makes inaccurate guesses, or fails to arrive at results that should easily be in the database. Either the system is down, the company is down, or something else is won’t. Tried it on both WiFi and LTE on two different devices. Sorry SoundHound! If the app is fixed I’ll fix the review!

Annoyed
I’m using the smart plugs that function beautifully when I’m home, but not once have worked properly when I’ve been away. I always receive a message claiming the time isn’t synced (despite syncing before I left) or the remote mode is off (it isn’t). These messages occur when attempting to create or modify schedules. Usually I’ll get at least one shot at manual control (on or off) before this isn’t possible either and the device will be permanently left in that mode for the duration of my absence. For example...I was recently out of town and forgot to set a schedule for my lamps, and since t

Option to hide sidebar; hold focus
I love everything about this app. It definitely can consume a lot of time depending on your interests. I paid for the Gold option and feel the app differentiates itself more than its closest competitor.
Enhancement request: The ability to hold focus on a selected and temporarily slide or suppress the sidebar. I love the sidebar but it does consume a lot of space so having a toggle for this would be helpful.
Finally I’d remiss if neglected to see the negative reviews from those who previously purchased the app. It is not reasonable to expect an app purchase is tantamount to a lifetime li

No lookup history maintained
Yes I can bookmark words for future reference, but my search history isn’t maintained so I can review my queries. This seems simple and basic enough so I can’t imagine why this app doesn’t store this history.
