Careem has recently enforced a new specification within their app that makes it completely unsafe. They do not allow changes in location meaning as a rider you are held hostage till the driver arrives to the destination. I discovered this today even though I was able to change the location of my trip last week. This is especially unsafe since you clearly never know what type of captain you will get upon riding with them, maybe he’s rude, or he curses, or you are feeling unsafe you are to endure the struggle till you reach your destination.
