This is an update: I have tested the app on a different phone and it appears that outbound communication is still broken. If anyone else can confirm this, please leave a review. Being one of the few people smart enough to keep an old phone handy as well as never updating the app (so my app is, like, half a decade old) I am able to enjoy free-tone with none of the more recent foolishness. However, two days ago, I attempted to reply to a message, and it failed to send. I attempted to reply to another writer, and that failed to send. I attempted to call the first writer and my call would not go

And I know because I had the rare opportunity to put this app head to head against it's yellow faced competitor in the mountains. Doesn't seem to burn data in either mode (tested in airplane mode) and registered quickly (the 2 modes varied by ~2m as indicated) The graphics are on theme and totally cool and complimentary. The added home screen info (map access and Lat. & Long.) were welcome and not intrusive. The only niggle would be to use some more vertical blank space by elongating the numbers and soften the shadows for increased legibility. We were on the move and could only briefly g
