United canceled our Milan flight less than 24 hours before departure and left us stranded overnight with no clear help at the airport, no usable support through the app, and no reliable rebooking information. We spent hours getting conflicting answers between United and Lufthansa while trying to get a realistic route home to Nashville. On top of that, the check-in process now says we are not allowed carry-on bags, even though we were allowed a personal item and carry-on on the flight here. There is also no clear way to check bags for free online, which adds another expense and another problem
