In 2017 I had a pacemaker installed. The result of the surgery was for the first time in 72 years I experienced what it means to have a life. After the surgery my cardiologist visited. During our conversation he asked whether I knew I had a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO). So with Sally, and our family of 5 daughters and 11 grandchildren, modern medicine, a 25 year yoga practice, a study of stoicism, an intense study of physiology and anatomy with a focus on breath work, a gift from the gods and simply good fortune I am now enjoying this life.
