LinkedIn Is Becoming Harder to Use for Actual Professionals
LinkedIn removing the ability to long-press and copy job descriptions in the app is an astonishingly anti-user decision. People use LinkedIn for professional workflows: comparing roles, tailoring resumes, discussing opportunities with recruiters, translating postings, researching companies, and using accessibility tools. Blocking simple text copy doesn’t stop scraping. It just punishes normal users trying to work efficiently. The result is absurd friction: - I can’t easily save requirements for later - I can’t send excerpts to mentors or colleagues - I can’t use AI tools to analyze job fit -
