This app used to be responsive and fast and I was a subscriber. Now it’s slow to load, it often hangs while you’re using it, the database is HUGE yet completely unreliable. To make it even more difficult to use, it keeps asking me to login all the time. Expensive, buggy, all in all a disappointment not worth paying for.

The app claims you can use it for free, but in-app purchases are available. All the templates I tried require a trial with payment. Truly deceptive, absolutely not free.

Syncing to Google Calendar stopped working properly. Events that are added on the desktop don’t appear on mobile and vice versa, but only randomly. It works 10% of the time, which makes it even more frustrating. Reinstalling apps, deleting preferences, removing and re-adding accounts didn’t help. After years of using Fantastical I can’t recommend it to anyone.

I’ve been a Plus subscriber for years, but since Pro was introduced, I get annoying pop-ups to try it every day, sometimes more than once a day. Do the developers really think that pestering us non-stop will make people pay for the Pro version? At this point I’m considering dropping my existing subscription since I don’t want advertising pop-ups if I’m paying for software. What a sad mess this has become.

Avoid this app unless you particularly love intrusive ads and pop-ups. What a waste of time.
