Update, Feb. 2026: I came in to vent about the newest changes to the app, with the Chat dominating EVERYTHING and it taking several more taps to get to the simple things I want, and it turns out my previous review already described much of that. Jeff Bezos isn't happy unless he's wrecking things, apparently. The latest update is even more voice-centric. Alexa designers seem not to grasp that there are times you need to use it SILENTLY!! And the chatbot is smarmily "empathetic" and vomitously patronizing. I want to be able to hide it so it doesn't take up half the screen when I open the app.
