Updated: After contacting support, I received a quick email response, the problem was fixed fairly promptly (a day) and I was able to export a PDF. While that is much appreciated- hence 4 stars rather than none - I also wasted a great deal of time dealing with an issue that should have been discovered and fixed previously- I am surely not the only person using an iOS device. Nevertheless a prompt response from support and a solution to the problem so I am pleased with their willingness to work with me and solve the problem.
