As an Island newspaper it must be parochial to satisfy the Hawaiian Islanders at the same time because Hawaï is a world destination it must also satisfy the visitors as to what is happening back home. It manages to do this in spades. My wife and I as snowbirds from Maritime Canada for eight wonderful winters enjoyed reading about happenings in Hawaï while still getting news not only about Canada but also about our home town in thé Maritime, along with happenings in the rest of the world.
