I have tried all usable piano self learning apps currently available. This seems to be one of the best alternatives to a real teacher and it lets you learn for free - although with a daily time limit. Try it out - at least it is a very good addition to any other.

Was almost perfect if a bit slow on iPhone 4, BUT now went crazy with all kinds of "social" rubbish. Stop it - we drive with it, not rate and chat.
