Was using Google since it was new 25+ years ago. Back when their slogan was “Don’t be evil” and search results were genuinely useful. Now it’s killing traffic to sites which have the info I really want (making it harder for them to survive) and trying to steal all the traffic after scraping their insight. Further when I search for ANY subject, the first page or more of results is always trying to sell me something… if I search for the minimum distance for a fuel point from a building per NFPA, I don’t want 3 pages of gas cans and fuel monitoring ads. First off, most of the vids I watch are long form and I never consume Shorts… yet randomly when I switch apps it swaps to auto play a short. If I’m searching for info on a topic, unless shorts are the only option, I don’t want them to even show up. The “home feed” lets me hide them for a few days but any other location tries to ram them down my throat in chunks. I want the dislike button back… being able to clearly see feedback from other viewers on subjects without trying to skim all the comments used to help quite a bit for ignoring ones with bad advice or content that was factually false

Overall, I’m happy with the app & layout. It’s not perfect but for the amount of things your trying to manage and control (I have over 100 devices, switches, plugs, etc) it does the basic job. My only “complaint” is how limited it is. I can’t set default timers for lights (for example having a pantry light turn off automatically after 10 mins because the kids leave it on a lot), little things like setting dimmers to limit brightness at night (so when I turn on a bathroom light at 2 am, it only goes to 50% by default) or conditionals with more than one condition (such having a garage electr
