Black and white isn't just draining the color out of an image. BlackCam lets you translate colors into shades of grey with a fine degree of control in a streamlined interface. I especially like the color filters for precise color-to-greyscale conversion. Red lets me turn a bright blue sky almost black. Blue turns it nearly white. There are nice presets like Classic and Noir, and sometimes Gothic isn't the filter I want, it's the filter I need. I recommend this app if you have been less than satisfied with others that give you a standard cookie-cutter B&W image.

This is a star app you will actually use. It has a few simple star gazing options: zoom, search by name, view with or without constellations. The action is more responsive than any of the other star apps I have used. The music and sound effects put me in mind of a Star Trek movie-not a bad frame of mind when explorer the heavens.
