I’ve used Airbnb on and off for several years. A booking here and there no issues until this year. Out of no where and a few days before my trip they cancelled my reservation and deactivated my account! According to Airbnb I was a felon and I violated terms of service. Obviously this was a mistake. I went through the proper channels and submitted an appeal and had their background check contested. Eventually this whole issue was found to be false and the background check company corrected my information but Airbnb still did not reactivate my account or offer any condolences for their mistake.
