No Garmin to choose in Connect device menu. I dont intend to extend my subscription any further

Garmin seems to be moving to a pay to use model. They have added trail functionality, the problem is that it is only in selected countries. As i understand it according to garmin there are no moutians, trails, etc. in central europe? But once theres a trail, it wont to send to your device if you dont buy this stupid subscription. Will i soon not turn on the workout without a subscription? Aside from the fact that the app as well as the device themselves can have a lot of bugs
