I won't deny that Best Fiends is a fun, addictive game with a decent balance of strategy and luck. However, once you get around level 400, it starts to get near impossible to keep progressing without spending money for gold and powerups. I got sucked in and ended up spending a lot in a short amount of time before I snapped out of it and realized what a rip off it is. Not only do you need to spend money in order to win levels, you even need money if you want to be able to play for an extended period of time since playing levels starts to cost tons of "energy" or whatever they call it.
