I got bed bugs in an Airbnb apartment, and despite clear evidence, I was unable to receive a full refund for the nights I paid for. Because of Airbnb’s failure to properly handle this situation, I now have to spend additional money on professional cleaning and preventive treatment at home after bringing the bugs back with me. Bed bugs are extremely difficult to eliminate and can cause long-term problems. This experience has been very stressful, costly, and disappointing. I do not recommend Airbnb.
