It took a lifetime, I am 83, but I actually realize now why my wife who passed in 2013 was so diligent to maintaining a high credit score! Since her passing, not sure why, I simply lived day by day and if something took place that distracted me, I would forget altogether about what was due and to whom it was due… nothing seemed to matter at the time!
