I’m a professor at a selective university in the States and I have been using Genius Scan for many years, recommending it highly to my students, colleagues and friends, but no longer. Like most apps these days that started out by providing different versions according to willingness-to-pay criteria with free versions always coming with advertisements, Genius Scan not only effectively discontinued the menu of options, opting for pay-for-use only, but it did not inform current/loyal users that it was changing its “policy”.
