I’ve utilized MilGPS all the time. I’ve had this app for years and it is definitely my favorite to use. Route planning, noting landmark co-ordinates, distances, verifying pre-planned azimuths, points of interest, towers/buildings for resections, repeater stations, etc. Additionally I use MilGPS at certain instances during a hike/navigation exercise, in order to verify my bearings, distances, timing, datums/declination/and grid reference systems match.
