Drivers are authenticated and double checked using an ID card. It only makes sense that the pssengers should have the same process. Not long ago there was a driver who had been found deceased ( by some shady customers), and identifying ppl who have done becomes harder when the app does not offer proper verification to all its users. Great app, however it needs to fit these requirements to guarantee the safety of users and drivers.
