Useful for work schedules, but could be smoother
7shifts is a helpful app for checking my schedule, shift details, and work updates in one place. It’s convenient for restaurant work and makes it easier to stay organized. The app works well overall, but the interface could feel smoother, notifications could be more consistent, and some features feel a little clunky. Still, it does what I need most of the time.

Private, simple, and trustworthy
Signal is one of the best messaging apps on iOS if you care about privacy without making the app complicated. Messages, calls, groups, and media sharing work well, and the app feels clean instead of overloaded with ads, algorithms, or unnecessary features. I like that it focuses on secure communication rather than trying to become another social media app. It is not perfect some people are not on Signal yet, and certain convenience features are more limited than WhatsApp or Telegram but overall I would rather use a messaging app that respects privacy and stays simple.

Useful, but the app is getting worse
Reddit has these amazing communities where people talk about real stuff, like hobbies or troubleshooting problems, and it feels way more honest than other social media. I think thats why I keep coming back, even if the app itself is kind of frustrating now. The app seems heavier every update, and the feed gets messy with all those ads popping up everywhere. Promoted posts mix in so you cant tell whats real discussion and whats just bait to click on. It pushes short videos and quick engagement more than the deeper conversations that made Reddit special to begin with. Comment sections are still

Useful, but too addictive and too messy
Instagram is pretty useful in some ways. Like, its good for messaging friends or following people I care about, and discovering new places or restaurants, that kind of thing. I keep up with creators and stuff too, so I keep it on my phone. Theres real value there, I think. But honestly, the app feels way too loaded up now. The feed used to be more about photos from the people I follow, but its turned into this endless stream of Reels and ads, plus all these suggested posts that the algorithm shoves at you. It makes it super easy to scroll for hours without even realizing. And then there are so

Very useful, but not always pleasant
Uber is one of those apps I would absolutely keep on my phone because it is genuinely useful in normal life. When I need a ride fast, especially in a city or when I do not want to deal with parking, it usually does the job with very little effort. The app is easy to understand, booking a ride is quick, and overall it feels more polished than a lot of other service apps. What I like is that it is simple at the moment that matters most: open app, choose ride, confirm, track driver. That part is fast and usually works well. The design is clean enough, the map is easy to follow, and it generally f

Best real-life app on my phone
Google Maps is one of the few apps I actually depend on in everyday life. It is not exciting, but it is incredibly useful. I use it for directions, checking traffic, finding stores, reading reviews, saving places, and figuring out whether somewhere is actually worth going. For normal real life, it is hard to beat. What I like most is that it solves real problems fast. Search is strong, navigation is reliable, and place information is usually good enough that I do not need Apple Maps. It is especially good when I need quick decisions: where to eat, what is open, how long it will take, whether p

Best task app
Todoist is the kind of app I actually use on my phone constantly. It feels clean, fast, and not annoying, which already puts it above a lot of productivity apps. Adding tasks is easy, recurring tasks work well, and the app does a good job of helping me stay organized without making task management feel like a second job. What I like most is that it stays simple unless I want more structure. I can use it for basic reminders, or I can organize projects, priorities, and recurring tasks without the app feeling messy. The design is polished, syncing is reliable, and it generally feels like a tool m

Very useful but not perfect
Google Calendar is one of the most useful apps on my iPhone because it’s fast enough, reliable, and works well across devices. I like that it makes my schedule easy to see at a glance, and shared calendars are much better here than in a lot of other calendar apps. It’s especially good if you already use Gmail or other Google services. The reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that the app can feel a little cluttered sometimes, and some things are less simple than they should be on iPhone. I also wish it felt a bit more native and smoother in a few places. But overall, it’s still one of the best
