Why?

Playing in casual mode its ok just for a couple of games because you are going to be stuck playing with bacteria. You can only unlock the rest, virus fungus etc, if you win in normal mode or harder. This limits the replay value of the game because the normal mode is, extremely hard and if you can win it, hats of to you Sir/Milady, I can’t. The way the developer manages to compensate for this, instead of reducing the level of difficulty, is simply, allowing you to buy the things you can’t unlock because you know, money.
