Cat Quest has set the standard high for a single player RPG game, for a couple of key reasons. 1. The open world sandbox setting of this game is unbeatable. It's amazing to me that only the dungeons are instanced. Being able to walk on water really adds to this too. 2. The combat is simple yet elegant. Controls are easy to learn, and you aren't bogged down with an abundance of buttons. At the same time, defeating mobs still requires the clever kiting of a PC game.
