If you let the cat catch you and you enter the door right after the cat catches you you will not interact with the buttons ( seen in The Lab ) and cats. You are able to interact with cheese and power-ups. The cat that caught you is still there — just stationary and invisible. Pausing and unpausing makes you interact with the objects again.
