Welcome to the Equipd Bible - a powerful Bible reading and personal study app.
What makes the Equipd Bible different from other Bible apps? It has been carefully optimised for daily workflows, from using in the ministry, to daily bible reading and collating your favourite scriptures and study notes. Use it one-handed on your iPhone or in split-screen mode on your iPad. Look up selected verses with the fastest copy scripture tool ever. Personalise this Bible app and make it your own.
* Load compatible Bibles in EPUB format from the Equipd website or other approved sources. Check www.equipd.me/bibles for more information.
* View different Bibles side-by-side for easy comparison. Or read just one Bible full-screen.
* Load multiple languages side-by-side for sharing in the ministry with those from different cultures. Great for language learners.
* Bible Reading Schedules with reminder notifications. You can setup one or multiple schedules at a time. Never get behind on daily Bible reading again.
* For Chinese users or learners ... automated Pinyin, Zhuyin (Bopomofo), Sidney Lau, or Yale romanization can be generated and shown in 2-line format above the Simplified or Traditional characters.
* For Japanese users or learners ... automated Furigana or Romaji in 2-line format.
* Jump from viewing just the selected verses to the Chapter window to get the full context.
* Multiple ways to look up scriptures. Use the 3 scrollers at the top, or the Bible Picker accessed from the toolbar. Use the double-tap or "shake" gestures to show the Picker - great for one-handed use on the iPhone.
* Add study notes against verses. View notes for the current chapter in a side-panel (iPad and iPhone Plus). Access all notes from the toolbar.
* Import MP3 files for offline audio. In Safari locate a MP3 ZIP file and "Open in..." the Equipd Bible.
* The easiest "Copy" scripture feature you have ever seen. Great for copying scriptures into note-taking apps.
* Bookmarks organised by topic or category. You can even put a comment against a bookmarked scripture to highlight a main point or line of reasoning.

* Clipboard Lookups - just copy a scripture from another document or app, and then open Equipd ... Equipd will try and look it up for you!

* You can now highlight a verses, even if the Note has no text content. Tap the verse number to open the Note window, choose the color, slide across the highlight button on the toolbar, and save the Note.
* On the iPad you can now choose to have the Clipboard Lookup button permanently showing on the toolbar. Normally this button only appears when in Split Screen mode, but some users prefer to disable the automatic clipboard lookups and instead trigger the lookups manually using this button. Change your preference in Settings > Bible Settings > Detect Scriptures in Clipboard. This button is not enabled for an iPhone.

* A "Meditation Prompt" has been added under the "Mark as Read" button, encouraging you to meditate on your Bible reading. The prompt message can be changed in the Schedule Settings under the daily reminder times.
* 3D Touch shortcuts have been enabled on the app icon for users of the iPhone 6S, 6S Plus.
* Faster access to scripture lookup History. Swipe in from the left screen edge to view.
* Notes Side Panel now works on all iPhones in Portrait and Landscape. In Portrait it is a pop-out panel on the right side, in landscape it can stay visible. Swipe in from the right screen edge to view.
* Samoan Bible Navigation added.
* Ability to link to Strong's Concordance references within notes.

Wonderful Bible App!
An excellent and flexible Bible App.
I use it in bible study to add notes, internet links to reference works, related scriptures, and links to Watchtower Library articles.
You can even link your notes to the Hebrew or Greek dictionary definitions from Strongs Concordance if it is installed.
For example: G2316 for the Greek word theós often translated God.
You can add an "internet link" to a verse note simply by putting the url internet address in the note.
If you put a word from the verse you are commenting on within quotation marks, it will be highlighted in the main text to show that it

Greatest Chinese pinying apps
I have been trying to find a Chinese pinying bible app for a long time now, and has never able to find a bible combine with a pinying.
But this app it doesn’t just Chinese but all languages with it. The best app and worth the money to spend.

I absolutely love this app, but unfortunately I cannot download the NW Translation on my new iPad since there is no longer an option to download the Bible from JW.org. This app does deserves 5 stars though because it’s that good. If there is a workaround for reloading the NW Translation into the app will someone please let me know?

No stars from me. I had an earlier version that I liked. I decided just a few days ago to update. No nothing works. I spent a lot of time thinking I was doing something wrong just to discover that it is not me but the app. Hurt, hurt, hurt.
BIG apologies here. After a few days I attempted to get the app working again. I did finally get it working and it does now work as described. Sorry, sorry, sorry. I shouldn’t work on these things when I’m tired.

fast reference for Strong’s Concordance
I no longer am in the foreign language ministry (Chinese), so I do not need the app for it. Having used this app’s predecessor, though, I was familiar with how much faster it was than books to reference the information in the Strong’s Concordance. Started using this to help with learning Chinese. Now have English, Chinese characters and Pinyin for reading & studying the Bible. It makes it much easier to learn not just the simplified Pinyin, but the characters too. In fact I just found that there are many other languages one can learn with this Great App!!

One of THE best study and field service tool
I love JW.org's ability to book mark but Equid goes just a step further with not only bookmarking as many scriptures as I want but created category lists and backing them up. I have drawn closer to Jehovah because I was able to read the Bible in 1 year twice. I am able to use my bookmarked scriptures during letter writing. I tell everyone that this app is worth the money and much more. The developer is always quick to offer help.

Disappointed
I have had this app since its inception. When it was still in the beta phase and was free. One used to be able to *listen* to the Bible with this app from Genesis to Revelation. The audio would play the Bible chapters, verses and then continue to the next book and play the chapter and verses. This is how I most enjoy listening to the Bible.
Recently I paid the $2.99 for the app. No audio. No audio option. I cannot listen to God’s word. I am very disappointed.
