And it doesn’t allow to update the app for not latest IOS version. So to be able use this app you need to have the latest gadgets. Ridiculous.

This app seems more concerned with preventing access to documents than facilitating training. I try to download the documents I am entitled to and I just get the spinning wheel, no feedback whatsoever. I try to view the documents and I get a table of contents page with no content. I can view things ok on my Mac, but nothing on my iPhone.

The inkling app consistently returns me to the table of contents page of the one ebook that I have each time I open the app. To make matters worse, all the pages seem to already be set to favorited (star in the upper right is already set to ‘gold’ color). I suppose this doesn’t matter too much, since I don’t see a way to see what I have bookmarked. With these two critical issues, I find the app difficult to use and end up going to use the web version on my computer instead. Please, if a developer sees this, correct the behavior so the app remembers where I last left off reading in the ap

There is a bug in the app when attempting to highlight text. Tap and hold a word to bring up the highlight option, then use the iPad controls to expand what text you want to highlight, then tap highlight. Only the initial word that was selected from the tap/hold is highlighted. Not the entire text you want to highlight.

I continue to have an issue where the content I see is out of date on my iPad. On my Samsung phone the content is different and up to date. I don’t see any indication that an update is available and cannot find an intuitive way to delete downloaded content so I can download it again. This makes the Inkling app on my iPad very frustrating to use.

Reasons for 1 Star Review: 1. The app almost never works, when I open it up it will have a loading sign and it will never load. I have used my data and multiple other reliable sources of internet to no avail. 2. It makes you download the content from the app instead of just letting you read it on it. If I downloaded the app, I should be able to read content without having to then download the content. What is the point of this app otherwise?

I can understand why a company would want to use this method to provide training docs and such but the interface is awful. You cannot “star” a document while in it. So every time you need to use it you have to remember the exact name and hope it pulls up in the search to find any notes you may have taken. The notes functionality is very limited. IT ABSOLUTELY KILLS BATTERY LIFE ON MOBILE. It constantly has to reconnect or is always forcing some type of connection wirelessly. Scrolling is the only way to view, even for documents designed as workbook pages.

Would love some professional development or a way to advance somehow. Even an employee review would be nice.

Very informative background and detailed information

I have tried on several occasions to download a book I am to take classes and the downloading just keeps crashing. I even reinstalled the program. Nada nothing zip.

It’s handy to have the app but downloading the chapters took a very long time on my phone. I also would have liked to listen to the chapters in my car if the app had a text reader.

Inkling needs to offer reports and tracking that is easier to access and part of every package

Limited functionality from the iPhone. Would appear to take up a lot of space to download everything. Screens don’t re-size to fit a mobile view

I’m in the H&R Block class and this is very helpful with the homework and class. But I’m starting to get frustrated with the app because when it use for class and the next day I open the app to do my homework it makes me sign in every day. I shouldn’t have to do that for an app. It very annoying especially when you need to get something up for class and your behind because you have to resign and everything. Please fix!

Outdated app that does not even highlight consistently, in fact some parts can not be highlighted. I use this for my medical books and it’s pathetic at any note taking , even the basic e book readers have much better capability and I don’t even know why medical books from elsevier are published on this and why I don’t have the choice to read my ebook in another app! Frustrating to say the least, to the point that I probably won’t buy elsevier ebook now . Enough with my rant ( please forgive my frustration )

I use this app because the e book that i purchased is via inkling. You cannot import this to notability. Fine, you have the rights, whatever. You cannot use Apple Pencil to make notes, the highlighter is a pain to work with. You cannot customize anything like multiple other apps, paid or free. And it seems like the company doesn’t’t care, because I am not the first one to write the bad review about the same issues. Why can’t I log into the mobile app with my personal account? The whole purpose of e-books is to be able to access them on our mobile apps. Going to the web to view them on your mobile device is clunky and not user friendly.

I use this when training in class on my iPad and iPhone. The app runs incredibly slow on the iPad causing people who like to follow along to fall behind quickly, and it doesn’t allow users to click on most links. On the iPhone, however, it just consistently crashes.

My company has over a 1000 inkdocs on this service and it seems to take forever to load. During the downloads the app is almost unusable. Scrolling lags or doesn’t respond at all. You can tell this isn’t very optimized or properly developed. I’m on an Xs Max so it shouldn’t be warm to the touch while this app is running.

I’m a H&R Block affiliated franchise employee, so my perspective is from the end user. The system works OK on my iPad, however It would be useful if I could add freeform notes with my apple pencil directly to the page. I could do that on the PDF’s, but can’t with our new system.
