HN Zero has always retrieved its information by scraping the Hacker News website. Y Combinator has recently announced that they will be changing the layout of their site, and have also released an API for clients that scrape their site (such as this one).
This update utilizes this API. You will notice a few changes:
- Articles load one-by-one in the list view
- Comments get preloaded by default. You can toggle this setting in the main menu.
- The "New", "Ask HN", "Show HN", and "Jobs" sections are no longer present.
