CareButtons is a simple family reassurance app designed for older adults who want quick access to check-ins, calls, help messages and everyday reminders. The large nine-button home screen keeps important actions easy to find: • Prepare an “I’m OK” check-in message • Start an “I have left” return-home timer • Confirm “I am back” • Call a family contact • Prepare a help message • Open emergency contact options • Manage medication reminders • Create reminders for daily routines • Prepare a custom message The return-home timer continues while the phone is locked. When the timer ends, CareButtons presents clear options to confirm the user is home, request help or add another 15 minutes. Medication and daily reminders use local iPhone notifications. Users can mark reminders as Taken, Done, Later or Skipped, and their selection remains visible when the screen is reopened. The Activity Log provides a simple record of actions completed within the app. CareButtons supports VoiceOver and Voice Control and uses large text, clear labels, high-contrast controls and senior-friendly layouts.
