· 4-7-8 Breathing: The "natural tranquilizer" popularized by Dr. Andrew Weil — inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale for 8. Practicing a few rounds before bed helps you fall asleep faster.
· Box Breathing: Inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. The technique used by Navy SEALs to stay calm under pressure — perfect before a speech, exam, or difficult meeting.
· Coherent Breathing: A balanced 5-second inhale and 5-second exhale that regulates heart rate variability for everyday practice.
