Instrumenta is a living map of independent music across Latin America. It brings together, in one place, the scenes, spaces and networks that hold up music made outside the mainstream industry. From artists and bands to labels, venues, festivals, collectives and releases. Organised and connected, country by country. Inside the app you can browse an index of artists, labels, venues, collectives and cultural spaces from all over Latin America. Keep up with events, shows and releases from the independent scene. Use the classifieds to connect with people who make music, who offer, look for, trade and collaborate. And explore profiles with real information, kept by the people who live the scene. Instrumenta is collaborative. You create your profile, add what you know and help keep the map alive and accurate. Every contribution strengthens the record of an ecosystem that rarely shows up on official maps. It is a project by Sonoridade Latina, dedicated to documenting and connecting independent Latin American music, and to supporting research into these cultural networks.
